BuyART was developed by John Jolley, owner of The Rutland Gallery. While art has always been his passion, John’s professional background began in technology. Before founding The Rutland Gallery, he owned and operated a successful computer software company for more than 30 years, implementing innovative systems management and digital solutions for businesses across a wide range of industries. John’s experience with technology driven solutions gave him a unique understanding of how digital platforms can transform traditional industries and improve the customer experience.
John founded BuyART to make discovering and collecting contemporary art more accessible through technology, curation, and innovative art discovery. By combining decades of experience in the software industry with a lifelong enthusiasm for art, John recognised an opportunity to modernise how people engage with galleries and contemporary art.
